Resurrecting Nature
Ours is a story of early American history, an antique wood that is not available other than through reclaimed or recycled wood products. We select the harvested antique or vintage wood from local antique shops and local wood suppliers who specialize in reclaimed wood. Your product will be authentic, one of a kind, irreplaceable, and historic.

George Washington built MOST of Mount Vernon with it.  The flamboyant Thomas Jefferson  built much of Monticello with it.  And,"Old Iron" the USS Constitution was buttressed with it. Pinus Plustras is irreplaceable in that it takes  250+ hundred  years to produce to the maturity of antiquity needed to harvest as such.  These pines contain almost twice as much resin content than other pines.  Resin is what gives this wood strength and it's ability to resist decay.  Pinus Plustras, "the wood that built the south" was  discovered by early settler's in the 1600's.

Pinus Plustras is the most durable for all climates.  It is no longer available as a "virgin wood" only as reclaimed due to over harvesting in the early colonial days and through the early 1900's.  It was over harvested because of its' durability particularly in the humid summers of the south eastern United States.  Longleaf was also shipped to Europeon countries for hotels and estates as a result of its' strength and duriablity.

The name "Heart Pine" is a derivative of the center core of the long leaf tree, its' core and near to the core of the tree. These colossal trees developed their strength only through time, an average of one inch every 30 years in diameter… after a height of 100plus,  for which they are famous, according to the USDA.

It is an antiquity of nature and it is a product resurrected from history!  Some of these doors survived the Revolutionary War and also the Civil War! These products are limited.  Although, there are new nursery's planted today it will be many decades before they can be harvested, as antique  or vintage Longleaf  Heart Pine.

Nature does have a way of coming back, and history can repeat itself.  In particular, you can participate in preservation of these antiquities through reclaimation AND recycling of this natural historic treasure via your custom desk, a coffee table, an entrance table with flowers as the centerpiece, a custom kitchen island, a door cut to a custom opening, or put three together and you have a divider, or slant it in your backyard for a conversation piece… because it will  last a very long long time,  it is  LONG Leaf,  "Heart of Pine!"

Please watch "The Nature Conservancy"  by a non profit organization, entitled "Longleaf Pine Forest," on our "HOME" page. This history provides a real perspective of the natural treasure which  I try to exhibit, a coupling  of art, history, and utility.
